Job description

American Metals Inc. is looking for an Account Manager in metal sales who is enthusiastic about business growth and eager to take on the task of identifying and executing on new prospect customers. The ideal candidate would be able to effectively identify new sales opportunities within the scope of our business and provide exceptional customer service to all existing and prospect customers.

Responsibilities

• Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
• Understand customer needs and requirements
• Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure
• Close sales and achieve quarterly quotas
• Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
• Maintain and expand your database of prospects within the scope of our business
• Team with channel partners to build pipeline and close deals

Requirements

• Proven account management experience
• Strong phone presence and experience performing cold calling
• Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively

Preferred:

• Experience with government contracting
• Experience with specialty metals sales
